Kinds Of Bible Verses Regarding Anxiety

By Wanda Vaughn

The Bible is a treasure of lessons, stories, and advice. Just about every person you ask will provide a different explanation about what they value in it. As an example, it is a great source to find verses about anxiety. Many, many people refer to it as words directly from God, others as an amazing gathering of lessons, and other simply as a reference describing how people lived during those ancient times. Bible verses on anxiety are found throughout the entire book.

As the Bible came into existence the written word began to take the place of the teacher. No longer was a human speaking to an individual or group the only way to convey a message. Once the words began to be written down the content could be understood by larger and larger numbers of humans.

The messages in the Bible have been spread throughout the world to untold numbers of people for centuries. Its messages have influenced world events on a global scale as well as providing inspiration and solace to individuals. The full range of human emotions and experiences have been referred to in its teachings. The issue of anxiety is frequently mentioned to in its passages. Whether a thousand years ago or today the human emotion of anxiety is still a challenge.

In the Bible Jesus speaks to the people about not worrying whether they will be taken care of. The people are reminded that God even takes cares of the birds so that they do not lack for food each day. It is a way of reminding the people that if God takes care of the animals in that way surely God will meet their needs ultimately.

Some quotes simply speak of the value of a kind word. That simple action can cheer up a person with an anxious heart. Other quotes describe how easy it is to provide relief to someone just by speaking kindly to them.

There are passages that recommend people transfer their anxiousness to God. This would be done to take the burden off of their own mind. Doing so can allow a person to pay attention or focus on their worldly responsibilities and other activities that they value.

Another recurring theme is that of praying to the Holy Spirit for inspiration or for insight. When tenseness or uncertainty has a hold on a person's peace of mind, it is hard to concentrate on daily responsibilities. This is the idea that sometimes you need relief or guidance from sources that you cannot physically grab hold of or touch.

People do not always know where worry or stress comes from. However, consolation may be found in the verses that discuss it in the Bible. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament contain many suggestions about giving one's problems or worries over to God so that they may enjoy life instead of spending it in anxiousness or under stress. Anxiety is just one among numerous concepts and life issues that one can find relief from by referring to Bible verses on anxiety.
